HERITAGE LISTED FORMER IPSWICH TAFE FOR SALE
The heritage-listed former Bremer Institute of TAFE in Ipswich, west of Brisbane, is being offered for sale through Ray White Commercial.
The property at 88 Limestone Street, Ipswich, is being marketed by Ray White Commercial’s Director of Commercial Sales, Damian McMahon, and Ray White Commercial Director Government and Commercial Sales, Marcus Knapp.
Damian McMahon said the offering included four multi-level buildings with a gross floor area of approximately 3,323 sqm on a land area of approximately 4,092sqm.
“This is a substantial holding in a high exposure location which is being offered as a vacant possession,” he said.
“The property offers three street frontage and enjoys close proximity to the Ipswich CBD retail centre, lifestyle and tourist attractions as well as public transport and significant office and residential populations.”
Marcus Knapp said the former TAFE includes buildings of historical significance that were constructed more than a century ago.
“The property is zoned Special Use Zone SU1 – School/Educational Establishment,” he said.
“The purpose of this zone caters for uses such as municipal services, public utilities, schools, transport networks and community services including religious, educational and health activities.” Marcus Knapp said the Ipswich region, positioned approximately 40 minutes from Brisbane, was benefitting from major redevelopments which are expected to boost economic growth and employment opportunities.
The former Bremer TAFE is being offered for sale by tender. Tenders can be submitted to Ray White Commercial, Level 7, Riverside Centre, 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, 4000 by 4pm on Wednesday, 7 November 2012.
